Manuscript letter opening with discussion of the illness suffered by Jane's sister Ann; Owen is pleased to hear that Ann has recovered some "body strength" and it is a "common case" from which the mind will also make a full recovery.

Owen explains a meeting will take place at the London Tavern in a week's time, and at this meeting he intends to tell the public "some of the most important truths" yet to be expressed in public.
