2) Polemos (watercolour and pastel on paper)

3) Hermes (watercolour on paper)

4) Coryphäus (watercolour on paper)

6) Harvest Home. (Purple) Carmin. Dress of a heavy crepe, gilded wheat-wreath round the neck (watercolour on paper)

7) Harvest Home (ink / watercolour on paper)

The items are not dated, but an estimate is given based on information in a 2013 publication by Anna Nyburg. Nybury states that MBH was offered a commission to design the costumes for a production of Aristophanes at Westminster Theatre, London, but she turned this offer down. This appears to have taken place whilst MBH was in London and her husband was still in Palestine (1935-1936). A production of Aristophanes was staged at Westminster Theatre in June 1936.

Previously in MBH/File 29.
