Journal of James Chalmers, September - November 1876, describing his visit to the stations of the Cook Islands and also to Tahiti. Travelling in the Jessie Kelly with Mr Matheson, Mr Wickstead and another gentleman, they visited the churches at Aitutaki, Penrhyns, Manihiki, Rakanga, Tahiti and Huahine before returning to Rarotonga. the journal has been edited in pencil.
