B&W photographic print. 'A rich man's house with a carved centre post and skulls of the buffaloes which he has sacrificed adorning the front walls. The houses always have back doors, the days of head-hunting being too recent a memory at this time to have dispensed with the emergency exit. When the tribe came under British protection, head-hunting was officially abolished.'
