Arrangement
In the case of USAAF sorties, the titling took the form of 'SAV/Group/x'. For example, the sortie following SAV/392/75 would be titled SAV/392/76, whether it was flown in the same operation by another aircraft of the same group, or by such an aircraft in the next operation.
The title format SAV/Group/x is on occasion transposed as SAV/x/Group, or even as O/x/Group, where O stands for Oblique. V for vertical was also used.
