This report is more concerned with details of policy than statistics (which could not easily be compared with the recent past because of the special circumstances during the war). It contains sections on the employment of men, including figures for turnover of labour - numbers left, engaged and transferred, with reasons; employment in the Building Department (a special case); social work, including the Cocoa Works Magazine; schools and educational activities; the housing of employees, the Staff Journal, the suggestion scheme, benefit schemes and committees, the employment of women and turnover of female labour; the Medical Department. This report was submitted by the Labour Director.
