Paul Scofield had ongoing dealings with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford and was at one point one of the Directors. However in 1968 he resigned from the company following various disagreements. This file documents the beginning of Paul Scofield's relationship with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and is the earliest in the correspondence he gathered together to document the relationship.
