Areas for the stocking of salmon from Witcherwell Hatchery 1996 into the River Ribble

Includes habitat class and smolt production capacity, and redd counts (salmon and sea trout), likely production to fry from 1995/96 redds, section area, potential productivity of section and no that could be stocked in different river sections. River sections are Long Preston Beck, Ings Beck, Swanside Beck, Bashall Beck, Main River Ribble Head to Horton in Ribblesdale, Main River Horton in Ribblesdale to Stainforth Force, Main River Stainforth Force to Cow Bridge, and Main River Cow Bridge to Paythorne. Also includes Admagill Beck, Pendle Water surveyed in 1996 and identified as an area for introducing salmon into the Calder system provided that work is undertaken to ensure that Padiham weir is passable to migratory salmonids.
