      An albumen print 22.5 x 29 cm pasted on an album page. Print will have been toned but slight fading especially to left edge

Scope and Content

Albumen print photograph by unknown photographer of Jesmond Dene, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. A picturesque scene of the rocky Ouse Burn in the foreground crossed by a narrow stone pack-horse bridge. The near bank is wooded, the far bank has a steep rocky edge. Beyond the bridge are buildings with pantile roofs and trees in leaf.
An Imperial size commercial view scrap, possibly by a local photographer, for sale to tourists and visitors. The title is in white lettering from the negative in the bottom left edge.
