Scope and Content

From Abraham Watmough at Wellington to Mary Tooth in Madeley. He had written a note for Tooth and had taken it down to Mr Smith's when he received Tooth's message. They had proposed to visit Tooth on Monday next, which could not easily be changed, and 'which consequently renders it impracticable for brother C[ornforth?] and me to change in Sunday; but on Sunday fortnight, I believe I can come, and shall be glad to embrace the opportunity as I very much want to see the writings you were so kind as to propose to me the reading of, that I may know the condition of the House of our God at Coalpit-Bank.' If Watmough were to come on Sunday week, he could not stop until the Monday, as he is very much in demand at Lerp[?] where a new society has been formed, but which he has only been able to visit once since he was stationed in the [Wellington] circuit. Watmough has therefore made arrangements to go there a week on Monday. Spiritual matters are discussed. Watmough's wife sends her best regards.
