Scope and Content

A collection comprising mainly of genealogical material (which includes notes on the Stedman family), also: a calendar of Carmarthenshire sheriffs and other officials, 1400-1818; correspondence; copies of printed material; an account book, 1861; historical notes; a transcript of material dated 1681.

William Gwynne Stedman Thomas (b. 1822) of Belle Vue House, Pensarn, Carmarthenshire, and previously of Guildhall Square, Carmarthen, once worked as a wine and spirit merchant at Carmarthen.
