Original artwork by K.M. Peyton for her novel 'The Team' (OUP, 1975). The file contains one piece of colour artwork for the cover of the book, marked up for printing; and 20 black and white, pen and ink line drawings, published as internal illustrations in the book. All of the internal illustrations are marked up with sizing instructions for the printer, and several are heavily stained with glue residue. The file also contains four rough layout spreads, with printed text and proof illustrations pasted into position. These double-page layouts are for pages 26-27, 150-151, 166-167 and 200-201.
The contents of this file do not constitute a complete suite of finished illustrations for the book, as the illustration which appears on page 103 is missing.
