Papers on Future Expansion and the building of the Gentlemen's New Lodge, 1875-1877

Scope and Content

By the 1870s it was clear that the Retreat needed extension; the building of the Gentlemen’s New Lodge was the first outcome of a number of plans and suggestions.
For suggestions on expansion by William Williamson, made at the instigation of the Medical Superintendent, John Kitching, see plans at RET 2/1/10.
