A typescript draft (with handwritten amendments) of an essay by William Warde Fowler entitled 'Ars Prosaica.', which was read on 9 March 1902. This essay discusses the concept of style and the styles of particular authors and genres before discussing what constitutes good style. There is a note on the slip bearing the title reading 'much missing' and a handwritten note at the top of Page 1 reading 'Some missing.'; some pages are missing from the sequence of numbered pages and the draft breaks off mid-sentence on Page 25.
