Records relating to the Administration of students

These records relate to the recruitment and qualifications of the Department's students. They reflect the close oversight that the Board of Education in Whitehall had over the curriculum of the training departments, and include copies of the indentures which each student signed at the commencement of their course, committing themselves to pursue a career as a teacher.
