Pleased crisis about Marie over. Week's leave in Paris. Memory of war will haunt this generation. Foch Napoleonic. Sorry Beatty not with him instead of Generals. Would volunteer for Cologne or Coblenz if German speaking officer required. Cannot have festering sore in middle of Europe. Next war will be civil.
