Manuscript letter referring to the proposed election of Charles Henry Duke to the Infant Orphan Asylum Wanstead. Boileau was informed by Mr Cox that Owen had torn up his proxy as he declined subscribing, and she asks, therefore, would Owen send a postal order for the amount of his subscription instead. Owen is informed that a Miss Baker will sign a proxy form for him, as she has done "for many others", and Owen will be sent the receipt.
