LETTER: Thomas Browne, surgeon, of Kidwelly to [Mrs. Troughton]. Says that he has received a letter from Ellis [Troughton] dated in New York in which he says he cannot be in England for at least four years. Has heard that his own son Benjamin serving in the Navy has been injured in the face '....by the explosion of gunpowder....'. Goes on to say that his own health has improved though '... I am sincerely sick of the world and its several disappointments....'.
