LETTER: C[atharina] M[argaretta] M[aria] Allott at Whitehaven to her cousin Mrs. Troughton at Beaumaris. Complains that she has not received a letter from her in a long time. Quotes from a letter written by Ellis [Troughton] concerning the fate of £30 that his Aunt [Mrs. Troughton] has sent him but which he has not yet received. Mentions also the [financial?] failure of Kenyon and hopes that '... his failure can do no harm to Ellis...'. Urges her cousin to enquire about the fate of the £30. Ends with family matters, such as the enjoyment they had on the King's birthday, and the failure of her Uncle to share with them her grandmother's effects.
