Two copies of a printed Petition to Her Majesty the Queen by William Pare, Superintendent Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages in Birmingham. The Petition has been made regarding the proposed cancellation of his appointment as Registrar following the publication of a letter from an anonymous Clergyman (who Pare claims is Reverend Martin Wilson Foye). In the letter, Foye made allegations against Pare for his socialist an irreligious connections, and here Pare denies these allegation and asks not to be dismissed from his position before he having the chance to justify himself.
