Scope and Content

Journal of Christian Albrecht, Abraham Albrecht and John Seidenfaden, November 1805 - May 1806, in which they describing their missionary activities at the settlement of Adam Kok, waiting for the change of season that would enable them to travel to Great Namaqualand, north of the Great River [Orange River]. Also includes their journey from the planned station in Great Namaqaland, the return journey of Christian Albrecht to Camiesberg, the home of Cornelius Kok, to purchase supplies of corn and livestock, and then on to Cape Town. Mentions various conversations with the local people. Appears to be a translation of journal previously listed (CWM South Africa Journals, Box 1, File 9).
