Scope and Content

Journal of Arie Vos, January - October 1806, describing the missionary activities at the Zak River station and the removal of the mission to Graaf Reinet on account of the scarcity of food and the dangers posed by the Bojschmen [Bushmen] tribe. Also mentions the journey of John Kicherer and his wife to the Cape, and the visits of William Anderson, Mr and Mrs Edwards and Mr Jansen. Vos and Kicherer are assisted at Zak River by Mr Botma. This journal appears to be the English translation of the preceeding journal (CWM South Africa Journal, Box 2 File 11).
