Meroë tomb 505: offering tablet

Scope and Content

Image of a votive tablet found at tomb 505, depicting two vases libating onto an altar, flanked by lotus plants. There is a cursive Meroitic inscription around the edge. Handwritten note with negative states 'Album V84, Meroë' and '505 M09' in another hand.

Access Information

The negative has been removed from the collection to prevent further damage.

Physical Characteristics and/or Technical Requirements

The negative has been broken into two pieces and repaired. A piece of clear glass has been used to reinforce the original negative and masking tape has been applied to the edges.
