Page proofs

Scope and Content

A set of proofs which are largely arranged as page proofs, although in some cases contributions take a form resembling copied text from galleys transferred to A4 sheets. However, they represent a later stage in proofing than the galley material in /2, as corrections marked there have been re-set before this set of proofs was run off. Page numbers have not been added at this stage, and titles have been written in by hand. Consists of the entire issue, with the exception of: Sisson's editorial; some of the reports and letters, and notes and news sections; and Lawrence Sail's book review. The book reviews have not been printed strictly in their final order. The proofs have been corrected largely in the same hand using red ink. A small number of further corrections in different hands also appear.
