"No 4 / Cantata / a / Voce Sola / con / Flauto." Score. Four English Cantatas for soprano, flute and basso continuo, by John Christopher Pepusch (1667-1752) from "Six English Cantatas ... Book ye Second" (London, J. Walsh and J. Hare, [1720]). The first cantata has been transposed up a tone in the MS. No wrapper, nor title-page. Within this volume (but detached) are fragments of two anthems (a later repertory?). Title taken from f. 1r. 10-stave MS paper. In a single hand. The bass is not figured by the scribe, but a few figures have been added, in pencil. The first volume of the Pepusch cantatas [1710], is M.C. vol. 187 (see printed catalogue, p. 161).
