Scope and Content

From Charles Wesley junior in Chesterfield Street, London, to Sally Wesley in Wick. It has been a long time since she wrote.

He has had a headache, but is rather better.

She should stay in the country air as long as she can, although he will of course be glad to see her return to London.

He supposes that she will soon be seeing their father.

Mr M's house has been threatened by the mob, and the parks and other public places are full of troops. Everybody walks there in the evening to be entertained by the martial music.

In a postscript he mentions hearing that Mrs Johnston has received Sally's letter.
