LETTER: Arthur E. Jones, 41 Thorn Park Rd., Higher Chelston, Torquay to Enid Madoc Jones thanking her for letter and photo of B. G. S. It is 49 years since he was there but the memories of it remain clear. He has not forgotten about writing of the "ghost episode". Asks did John Owen ever tell her of a fire that broke out in the old part before A. E. Jones went there. When Mr. Charlton was fighting the fire he accidentally threw a bucket of water over her father. Mr. Charlton was at one time engaged to one of the mistresses - Miss Middleham. Lilly is not too well but feels fairly fit at 72+.
