From John Lane, enclosing a cheque for £300, and restating the terms of their agreement, namely that: (1) Crane makes over to John Lane the blocks and all rights in the Toy Books listed; (2) if he wishes, Crane supplies six colour designs for another Toy Book, with cover, title page and endpapers, for £50, and designs for endpapers and covers for a further two Toy Books for 5 guineas each; (3) if Lane wishes it, Crane shall supply drawings for another volume in three parts, for £150, the originals to remain Crane's property.
