'Chintz Sketches 1907' has been written on a label attached to the spine, while 'Chintz Sketches, Bk No. 1' is written inside the front cover. There are a number of loose pages inserted into the volume. The pages have B&W/sepia photographs of painted carpet designs pasted onto them. The majority of the photographs carry numbers written in red ink, which range from 997- 1148 (not inclusive). These numbers can be cross referenced with STOD/201/1/8/1.
