Commemorative plaque giving details of Alms Houses: 'These Alms Houses built originally by Mrs. Catherine Vaughan of Pant Glas were rebuilt in 1880 by Edward Gordon Baron Penrhyn. The proceeds of the sale of the Alms Houses of Captain Richard Vaughan in Tir Evan as well as the sum of Two Hundred Pounds given by him by Will were added to the endowment with the sanction of the Charity Commissioners. 1881'
