The composite series contains the following items which relate to Dunham Massey Hall, the gardens and gamekeeping there: three bundles of statements of the account of the head gardener, 1859-1862, 1863-1865 & 1864-1867 (EGR14/53/1-3); two bundles of statements of the account of the gamekeeper, 1859-1867 & 1867-1868 (EGR14/53/4-5); five small account books recording sales of garden produce, 1893-1894 (EGR14/53/6-10); a cash book for the gardens account, 1912-1917 (EGR14/53/11); two cash books and a bundle of vouchers relating to the restoration of Dunham Massey Hall after dry-rot and to the installation of a hot-water system, 1915-1917 (EGR14/53/12-14); two registers of garden produce sent from the gardens to the Hall, 1929-1930 & 1939-1943 (EGR14/53/15-16); a ledger for sales of garden produce, 1929-1931 (EGR14/53/17); and a gardener's petty cash book, 1930-1931 (EGR14/53/18).
