Notes include a sketched plan of abbey, chapter outline, and character list. Explanatory note on later partial typescript draft reads 'Fragment of adult horror novel, probably kept because of brilliant character sketch of architect, Geoffrey Holroyd. Ch 1 and part of Ch 3. Most probably an early book.'
