Scope and Content

By Gustav Holst, 1929. For two violins and orchestra.

1. Piano reduction, autograph manuscript [30pp]. Pages 15 and 16 are missing. Includes Movement I: Scherzo and Movement II: Variations on a Ground. Movement II: Lament may begin on missing pages.

Note on the folio bag in Imogen Holst's hand states 'This is IH's [Imogen Holst's] own property'.

2. Sketches, autograph manuscript [20pp]. Includes fragments of Movement I: Scherzo.

Note on the folio bag in Imogen Holst's hand states 'Sketches for Double Concerto and fragments of [?] ie Choral Fantasia (also tune from Morning of the Year?)'
