In 1963 Bowden visited Singapore as a guest of its government to chair a committee on creating a faculty of technology at the University of Singapore. The file includes a copy of Report of the Committee enquiring into the feasibility of establishing a faculty of technology in the University of Singapore. There is also correspondence with Robert Edic, Principal of Singapore Polytechnic, B R Sreenivasan, vice-chancellor of the University of Singapore, and Professor Kiang Ai Kim, professor of chemistry at the University, about the state of Singapore's technical and university education system. The file includes miscellaneous papers, cuttings, working papers and briefing notes about the visit.
