Manuscript letter, in which Owen is thanked for his letter which gave Allsop "great pleasure". Allsop explains that he is understanding of the "great impediments" in the way of early adoption [of Socialism] but is inclined to hope that "each year will see more association to Socialism as it becomes more and better appreciated". Reference is made to the [British] aristocrats being opposed to the "organisation of Labor" which is currently finding support elsewhere.
