The main ministries subsidising the AAS in the 1950s and 1960s were the Bundeskanzleramt, the Bundesministerium für Unterricht, the Bundesministerium für Auswärtige Angelegenheiten, the Bundesministerium für Verkehr und Elektrizitätswirtschaft, the Bundesministerium für Handel und Wiederaufbau and the Austrian Embassy in London.
