Correspondence addressed to Webb from Bill Naughton,and later, his widow Erna Naughton. The file contains ten letters addressed to Webb from Naughton, dated 1981-1987, and copies of Webb's seven replies. Webb had published Naughton's early work in 'Lilliput'. Correspondence mainly concerns Naughton's autobiograpical work: 'On the Pig's Back' and 'Saintly Billy' and a book for children titled 'A Dog Called Nelson'. The file includes correspondence, dated 1992-1994, from Naughton's widow Erna, and a letter adressed to her from John Curtis, declining to publish a book of Naughton's titled 'The Dream Mind'. The file also contains a series of photocopied press cuttings of articles on Naughton from various regional papers and a Octagon Theatre Bolton programme for thir production of 'Spring and Port Wine' (1992), forwarded to Webb by Erna Naughton.
