Administrative / Biographical History
The Embroiderer's Guild is a nationwide organisation which first bagan in 1906. The first branch was established in 1931 to carry out the work of the guild. It is not known when the Swansea Branch was established. Branch activities include meetings, lectures, wrkshops, dayschools, cources, exhibitions and outings. The aim of the Guild is to promote the art of embroidery and relative crafts, to obtain and disseminate information about embroidery and exhibit collections
