Scope and Content

(i) Sir George Wynne of Leeswood co. Flint Baronet and Edward Lloyd of Pengwern co. Flint esq.

(ii) John Lloyd gent., only son and heir of Evan Lloyd the younger late of Halkyn co. Flint, esq., deceased, who was brother and heir of Rev. Hugh Lloyd, deceased, who was brother and heir of John Lloyd late of Halkyn, esq., deceased.

(iii) Francis Wardle of Chester gent.

Lease by (i) to (iii) at the request of (ii) of mines of lead and copper under a capital messuage in the parish of Halkyn in the occupation of John Jones, and closes belonging called Grofftydd Ddole, Grofftydd Gleission, Bryn Glas, Bryncoch, Plas cwyness, Yr Weirglodd, Maes tan y ffordd, Maeston y ffordd Pella, Coitea Canol Mawr, Cood issa, Canol bychens, Tir Luder, Gwein William Parry and Erw Shone, and also under closes in Halkyn in the occupation of Obadiah Denman, John Ingleby, Thomas Hughson and Mary Lloyd widow, called Cae Frost, Gadless, Caerder in the Croft by the House, Coitea Llan and Llwyhelig, and under all messuages and lands of said John Lloyd deceased now in mortgage to (i) in the parishes of Halkyn and Northop.

Term: 31 years.

Rent: (payable to (ii)) 30s. per ton of lead ore and 31s. per ton of copper.

Consideration: making a trial and adventuring for lead and copper ore in premises.
