Director's 'subject', policy and correspondence files. the longest serving Director was Christine Gowdridge, and this series includes many files from her Directorship. These files came from a filing cabinet with hanging files. They have been organised in alphabetical order to ease access.

The Anti-Racism Consortiumis referred to i n several of the files in this series. It was established in 1984 by the Down's Children's Association, the Family Service Units, the National Council for One Parent Families and the Maternity Alliance, to help them to develop 'anti-racist practice in their employment procedures and service delivery'. Funded by the DHSS. Wound up in 1988.
