The volume records the payment of wages to carpenters for days' work on the estate each month, 1823-1834. Carpenters include James Blackshaw, Joseph Blease, William Blease, James Brownell, Thomas Burgess, John Forster, Thomas Gerrard, James Haywood, John Leigh, James Sharp, George Smith, Thomas Smith and James Thorp. The number of days worked and the wages received are recorded for each. At the rear of the volume are recorded monthly payments to Thomas Yarwood, blacksmith, for work on the estate, 1822-1834.
