The Wedlocks were based at the Royal Naval Dockyard at 'Trincomali` [ Trincomalee ]. They do not appear to have enjoyed their posting there as much as their posting to China, due to the unpleasantly hot climate, the fact that they had problems getting suitable housing and the isolation of the station, far from Colombo, and Kandy.
