Scope and Content

The Crown (through the Court of Wards and Liveries); Bartholomew Fletcher of Norton, Esq.
1/3 of a messuage & 1 cottage in Askerne, late the tenement of Edward Cooke; ??? of 47 acres land, 8½ acres meadow, and 6 acres pasture in Askerne, lately lands and tenements of Edward Cooke, Bartholomew Fletcher, esq., Thomas Hawne, Richard Wilde and Edward Brigges, and now or late in tenures or occupations of Leonard Huscrofte, William Wood, Francis Dickson, and Dorothy Cooke; ??? of a close of pasture of 8 acres called Egburne Croft, lately the lands of Robert Wilbert; ??? of 4 closes of meadow or pasture called Darlingfeilds and Darlingfeild Shawe, in Fenwick and Norton, containing 16 acres, late the lands of Bartholomew Fletcher; ??? of 1 messuage, 4 cottages, 60 acres land, 1½r. meadow, 1 close of pasture of 6 acres called Flyer Feild, in Askerne, Campsall and Mosley, now or late in tenures or occupations of Leonard Huscroft, William Huscroft, Richard Wright, Thomas Wright, Edward Wright, Richard Huscroft, John Murr, Richard Hudson, William Maplebeck, Elizabeth Huscroft, widow, Anthony Fynney, and George Gosney, at £10 2s. per annum; all which lands have passed to the King as guardian of John Huscroft, a minor, son and heir of Leonard Huscroft, deceased, excepting manorial rights.
From the date or the death of Leonard Huscroft, during the minority of his son, at £10 per annum to the Court of Wards and Liveries, with an extra 2s. per annum to the clerk of the court.
Covenants that repairs shall be made; no coppice wood shall be cut without licence; etc.
If rent behind by 2 months, or if covenants broken and no amends made within 3 months of warning, then re-entrance, with distraint to make good lost rent, and re-establish premises.
