Records of the RCOG House Committee

Scope and Content

Meeting papers of the RCOG House Committee, including agenda and circulated papers and unconfirmed minutes, and discussions about the fabric of the College building and the use of its internal space.

Administrative / Biographical History

The RCOG House (or Housing Committee) was established by Council in January 1988 to report on all aspects of furnishings, decor and maintenance of the College buildings, in order to free up time in the busy Finance and Executive meetings. The committee was to run for a trial period of a year, overseen by the Honorary Secretary and including a lay professional member, and to report to F&E. The committee seems to have run between 1988 and 1989.

In February 2003, the House Committee was revived under the auspices of the College's Service Board. It's remit was similar to the earlier committee and was chaired by the Honorary Treasurer. The new committee seems to only have met for the duration of 2003.
