Some matters of note in the minutes include: 14/10/1915 the committee donates a prize of 10/6 to the Comforts Fund for soldiers and sailors who have enlisted. 23/12/1915 the committee decides to insure horses with the Co-operative Wholesale Society. 24/4/1919 the committee becomes members of the Rochdale Pioneers Society. 11/9/1919 working hours are reduced from 50 1/2 to 48 per week. 7/10/1919 special meeting held to discuss striking members. 28/4/1921 proposal of amalgamation of Lanebottom Society and Newhey. 20/5/1922 discussion regarding the buying of the late Samuel Berry's estate. Maintainance regarding cottage properties such as roof repairs, water supply, gas and pointing. 25/3/1924 Plan to lease plot of land to Milnrow Urban Council for 999 years but council resolve not to accept. Loose papers at back of minute book include correspondence with Mrs Milne, solicitors, builders as well as sums, rule books.
