Programme celebrating the Centenary year of Rylands and Sons

Scope and Content

The programme was created in 1923 to honour 100 years of Rylands and Sons [1823-1923]. It also commemorates another centenary [1773-1873] that marks the humble beginnings of the firm, to its eventual incorporation into Rylands and Sons Ltd. The programme contains a table showing significant dates and events which have occurred over the history of the company, images of John Rylands, a photograph of an indenture [original dated 1773], and additional drawings showing scenes that reflect the nature of the cotton business.

The programme was designed and created by Benrose & Sons Ltd, Derby and London.
