This small series consists of files relating to the Global Dialogue Initiative, a German charity set up to support Andrey Bykov's World Cultural Crossroads Project. The Global Dialogue envisaged a breakthrough in relations between the world's cultures and religions by means of general disarmament. The movement's manifesto was produced in 2001 in the Swiss city of Zug, after four years of preparatory work, and its first objective was to encourage the elimination of accumulated nuclear weapons. Andrey Bykov was Deputy Chairman of the Global Dialogue, and CEO of the Dialogue's Nuclear Disarmament Forum. The Temenos Academy was contacted by Bykov and his colleagues, and invited to support the initiative; the files include this correspondence and other material accumulated by Lindop through his Temenos involvement. The majority of the material dates from 1998-2004, and includes: correspondence (including letters from Andrey Bykov); copies of the movement's manifesto and other publications; circulars; photographs from events; and photocopies of articles.
