The following poems are included - 'The Space-Egg was Sailing', part of ['The New World'], '¶' (entitled 'Crow Goes Out to Play'), 'An Alchemy' (1971-1973); 'The Lamentable History of The Human Calf' (1974-1975); 'Caprichos' (includes two poems 'Beached Head' and 'Grace', and several unpublished poems) and 'Eclipse' (entitled 'During an eclipse') (1976-1977); 'Unknown Warrior', 'After the Grim Diagnosis', 'New Foal', '1952-1977' (written on the reverse of an invitation) and 'The Rose' (1979).
