A proposal for a three-year BA (Honours) Dance Degree was submitted to the Council for National Academic Awards in April 1981. The general aim of the degree was to foster understanding and knowledge of choreography and critical appraisal of dance as an art in the twentieth century. Validation was not awarded and although Bedford College of Higher Education was optimistic about making the necessary revisions for a further submission in time for the degree to start in 1982, no further submissions were made.
