Administrative / Biographical History

The B.Ed. (Ordinary) Degree in combination with Primary and Middle School students was approved by the Council for National Academic Awards to commence in the 1976-77 academic year - initially for five intakes. It was the first degree to be taught entirely at Bedford College of Higher Education. It ceased to be taught in 1985 and was replaced by a four-year B.Ed. (Honours) Degree in 1982.
